The brief
Membership organisations live or die on their pipeline of new members — and for a young members' club, that pipeline starts online. The Northants & Hunts NYMC needed a site that would make a centuries-old tradition feel approachable to the generation it exists for, across Northamptonshire and Huntingdonshire.
The site had to do the quiet work of community infrastructure: show what the club actually does, keep events visible, and give a curious visitor an easy, low-pressure way to take the first step.
What we built
- An approachable front door
- A modern, welcoming presentation of the club — building community, creating memories, celebrating excellence — that speaks to newcomers rather than only to existing members.
- Events & activity showcase
- The club's calendar and past events presented as proof of life — the strongest recruitment argument a community organisation has.
- Clear membership journey
- From first visit to first contact in as few steps as possible — enquiry paths designed for people who are curious but not yet committed.
- Built to be maintained
- Fast, dependable and simple to keep current — a site a volunteer-run organisation can actually live with long-term.
The stack
Where it landed
The club has a digital presence at nhnymc.com that finally matches the energy of the organisation itself — and a front door that works for the members it hasn't met yet.
