Nuxt development at ZeroPixel
Nuxt is to Vue what Next.js is to React: the framework that adds routing, server rendering, data fetching and build tooling so you're shipping a product rather than assembling infrastructure. If your team already writes Vue, Nuxt is almost certainly the right answer — and there's no good reason to rebuild in React just because an agency only knows React.
We build with it the same way we build everything else: TypeScript throughout, server-rendered pages so Google receives real HTML, composables designed for reuse, and Core Web Vitals treated as part of the definition of done rather than a phase you pay for afterwards.
The two requests we get most are a new build where the client's in-house team works in Vue and will maintain it after handover, and a rescue — a Vue 2 or Options API codebase that has stopped being safe to change. Both are work we do. Vue 2 reached end of life at the end of 2023, so if you're still on it, the clock on security patches has already run out.

Nuxt — common questions
Nuxt or Next.js — which should we choose?
Mostly it comes down to your team. Both are excellent and the resulting sites are comparable in speed and SEO. If you have Vue developers, or an existing Vue codebase, choose Nuxt — the alternative is paying for a rewrite that buys you nothing. If you're starting fresh with no preference, we'd lean Next.js purely for the larger UK hiring pool. We build both and don't earn more from either.
Is Nuxt good for SEO?
Yes. Server-side rendering and static generation both give search engines complete HTML, metadata and structured data are handled as first-class configuration, and sitemap and canonical handling are well supported. As with any framework, the framework removes technical barriers — content and links are still what actually rank you.
We're on Vue 2 or Nuxt 2. How bad is that?
It needs addressing, but calmly. Vue 2 stopped receiving updates at the end of 2023, which means unpatched security issues accumulate and newer libraries stop supporting you. The migration to Vue 3 and current Nuxt is well-trodden and can usually be done incrementally rather than as a big-bang rewrite. We audit first and give you a phased plan with costs, not a scare story.
Can you work alongside our in-house Vue developers?
Yes — that's a common arrangement. We work in your repository, follow your conventions, review each other's pull requests, and take the parts of the build your team hasn't got capacity for. The goal is always that your developers are more capable at the end than at the start, not more dependent on us.
How much does a Nuxt project cost?
The same range as our Next.js work: a professionally built marketing site is typically a low-to-mid four-figure project, applications are quoted on scope, and every quote is fixed and written before anything starts. Framework choice doesn't change our pricing.
